Applications
Crack detection is used for welding seams, castings, in shipbuilding, aircraft construction, crane construction, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, commercial vehicle construction, apparatus and container construction etc.
Instructions
| Shake cans vigorously for at least 30 seconds before use. |
| Apply the cleaner (art. 890.80012) to the surface to be tested and allow to flash off (approximately 1 minute). |
| Spray the red penetrant (art. 890.80010) on the area to be inspected and wait for 10-20 minutes (depending on the ambient temperature). The penetrant penetrates cracks and pores thanks to its very good creep properties. |
| Remove excess penetrant using a lint-free cloth. |
| Apply the developer (art. 890.80011) thinly and leave to work for 5-10 minutes. Cracks and damage will be visible as an intense red and white contrast. |
